Apple crumble with maple syrup

Instructions

  • Cut the unpeeled apples into not too large cubes. Place them in a bowl and add maple sugar and syrup.
  • Stir well. Pour into a 24-cm-diameter baking dish.
  • Make the crumble. Put the flour, maple sugar, and chilled, chopped butter in another bowl. Start working the mixture in your fingertips, rubbing the mixture together. You will not have to knead, but create large crumbs.
  • Combine the pecans coarsely chopped with your hands and mix quickly.
  • Spread the crumble over the apples, forming an even layer.
  • Bake in a hot oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve the crumble warm or at room temperature.
