Bread Pudding with Apples and Maple Syrup

Ingredients
- 200 g of stale bread (crust removed)
- 3 apples
- 50 g of raisins
- 300 ml milk
- 225 g (150 ml) di MapleFarm Pure maple syrup – Very dark
- 2 eggs
- 30 grams of butter
Instructions
- Soak the raisins in warm water for at least 20 minutes.
- Peel the apples, cutting two into cubes and slicing one into thin wedges.
- Whisk the milk with the eggs and maple syrup.
- Cut the bread into cubes and add it to the mixture. Also, add the cubed apples and the well-drained raisins, and mix thoroughly.
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper and pour in the mixture, pressing the surface with the back of a spoon to create a compact layer.
- Arrange the apple slices on top and finish with small pieces of butter.
- Bake the pudding at 180°C for about 45 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly before cutting into cubes. Serve each portion drizzled with a bit of maple syrup.
