Maple syrup chicken salad is a tasty and very balanced recipe. Rich in flavor and low in calories, it is a fresh, satiating and satisfying one-pot meal.

A tasty alternative to the usual salad with grilled chicken.

Ingredients

  • 350g of chicken slices
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 100g green salad
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cherry tomatoes
  • cubed tofu
  • pecans
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup MapleFarm Pure Maple Syrup – Amber

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken slices into shreds and place them in a bowl.
  • Add paprika, curry, nutmeg, salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil.
  • Using a spoon, mix well and marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  • Heat a skillet, brown the chicken strips and over high heat on both sides, then lower the heat slightly and finish cooking, turning often.
  • When the shreds are well browned turn up the heat again, cook for a few more seconds on high heat after which turn off and pour the maple syrup inside the nice hot pan.
  • Fry well to blend and lightly caramelize the chicken strips and let cool.
  • In a salad bowl lightly toss the lettuce, cherry tomatoes, tofu, and pecans with oil and salt.
  • Combine the shreds with maple syrup and serve.
