Savory pancakes are an easy and tasty recipe for an energy-packed savory breakfast or a healthy, yet tasty and alternative lunch that is ideal before a sports session.

Ingredients

  • 250g of
    MapleFarm Pancake & waffle mix Organic
  • 1 large egg
  • 300ml milk
  • salt to taste
  • finely chopped chives or fresh parsley
  • butter for the pan
  • smoked salmon
  • Philadelphia-type spreadable cheese
  • capers
  • pomegranate kernels

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix a large egg and milk with a whisk or electric mixer.
  • Add ½ bag of Organic Pancake&Waffle Mix, salt and 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives or chopped parsley.
  • Using an ice cream measuring cup, pour the batter into a nonstick pan, previously buttered, and cook over low heat for 2 minutes. Turn as soon as you start to see bubbles on the surface of the pancake, and cook for another minute.
  • Serve the savory pancakes with Philadelphia-type cream cheese, a few slices of smoked salmon, capers, and pomegranate seeds.
