Maple syrup and dill glazed salmon is a great classic of Canadian cuisine.
Salmon is a protein source rich in vitamins, minerals and omega 3, and together with maple syrup it becomes an energy and taste bomb. For a balanced dish, you can serve it with seasonal vegetables and rice or quinoa drizzled with maple syrup glaze.

Instructions

  • For perfect browning, the salmon fillet must be at room temperature, so leave it out of the refrigerator for at least an hour before cooking.
  • Place the fillet on a plate with the skin touching the plate. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with Very Dark maple syrup and dill leaves. Let it season for a few minutes.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet with a tablespoon of oil, and lay the salmon with the skinless side in contact with the skillet.
  • Cook for 2 minutes: maple syrup caramelizes and forms a light crust.
  • Turn the fillet and continue cooking for another 3 minutes, without turning the salmon again. For the salmon to stay juicy, the heart must remain slightly raw.
  • Serve with a rich salad, rice or quinoa and drizzle with more maple syrup to taste.
