White sangria with maple syrup is a fresh and aromatic, slightly alcoholic drink. A fresh and fun cocktail, great to accompany a summer lunch or dinner or as an aperitif.

Maple syrup enhances the flavor of fresh fruit and spices and makes it even more aromatic, sweet and fragrant.

White sangria with maple syrup

Ingredients

  • 750ml sparkling wine or prosecco
  • 500ml soda
  • 100ml clear rum
  • 80ml of MapleFarm Pure Maple Syrup – Gold
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2 lime
  • 1 peach
  • 2 apricots
  • 1 handful of berries (raspberries and blueberries)
  • 2 small cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  • Choose citrus and untreated fruits.
  • Wash the fruit well and cut it into slices about half an inch thick.
  • Rinse the berries very quickly.
  • In a large pitcher mix the sparkling wine with the soda, both well chilled from the refrigerator.
  • Add the rum and maple syrup and stir.
  • Then add the fruit and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Ideally, leave the sangria in the refrigerator to rest for 6 hours so that the fruit and citrus can release all their flavor.
  • Serve by adding ice and, if desired, a few mint leaves.
